This is creating an artificial sheltered safe space that will then dump unsuspecting newbs into general population at tiers that are already very competitive - tiers where they will encounter an entirely different gameplay that they will not be ready for coming from a sweet and forgiving "newb mode". Sounds like our education system, doesn't it? There will be far more good players at t4-5 than in the lowest tiers so you would be effectively setting them up to fail even harder. As we have it now, players learn that Wot is a tough and unfriendly world from the very beginning. Just like life is.They also get to see experienced players early on and see how those players use their tanks/maps/mechanics, so they themselves start questioning things, i.e. spotting/camo mechanics, and researching stuff. They can also decide right away if they want to proceed or quit before investing serious time in this game. Dragging this decision as well as uncovering what WoT truly is out to t4-5 isn't doing those players a favor.

TeriyakiTanker:   Disagree with your assessment.  New players need a place to learn how to play the game before facing off against people who have been doing it for a long time.  Nothing wrong with being sheltered for 500-1000 games so players can learn the maps, learn how to use the tanks, etc... etc...
