How does Experience work?

Quote I am fairly new with this game and I enjoy it. Mostly I enjoy
playing on the lower tiers with a light tank, such as the
Leichtraktor or Level 2 premium German Panzer (I forget the
lettering and numbers after it).
My question is this: Does experience gained differ from the low to the high tiers?
Here is an illustration/example of what I mean.
I am a Tier 2 tank and destroy (3) Tier 1 tanks and my team is victorious at the end of battle. I will probably be awarded between 500-1500 experience... (I hope this is a close estimate)
Now advance the scenario to this.
I am a Tier 5 tank and destroy (3) Tier 4 tanks and my team is victorious at the end of battle. Do I gain more experience than the previous scenario?
If that scenario is advanced to level 8 and above, does the experience (further) increase?

Tanitha: Exp is calculated by many things. "Some" of those main things are
the damage you do and your level compared to the enemies level.
At tier 1, you are guaranteed to be damaging tanks at your level or above, but you are also limited by how much damage your gun can do.
So it basically comes down to your tanks ability to shoot and damage tanks above its tier, and do as much damage as possible. The sweet spot for this is usually T4-5.
Spotting for a tank splits the exp for the spotter and the damager. So playing from a forward position often leads to more exp.
Welcome, and have fun with the game.
