As the controversial winner of the official Design Your Tank Contest, I'd like to give back to the community by sponsoring the Tank Design Contest MkII.
The format has changed to award designs in three separate categories and the contest will be judged by CG visual effects and aeronautical engineering students. Designs from the previous contest are allowed to be resubmitted, but new designs are encouraged and will increase your chances of winning, so get crackin'!
Prizes:
Prizes of 1000 gold will be awarded for each of the following categories:
-Best artistic design
Awarded for the best artwork, incorporating a solid and interesting design. Must include at least a brief technical description and possible development history.
-Best technical design
Awarded for the most convincing technical description and design. Sketches, drawings and/or orthographic views are encouraged.
-Best "crazy crackpot" design
Awarded for the most well developed bizarre or over-the-top design. Sketches, drawings and/or orthographic views are required. Must include at least a brief technical description and possible development history.
The artistic and technical categories will be judged on their function, form, clever design elements and, loosely, their ability to be manufactured in some quantity. The crazy crackpot category is for pushing the envelope of WWII technology to produce a "supertank" or specialized design.
All designs must utilize available technology of no later than December 1945. Each submission is automatically entered into all three categories and users can submit multiple designs for one or more categories. Clear, high-resolution images are preferred.

Contest end date changed
The contest date has been officially extended until gold transfer is available in patch 6.5 or 6.6. I'm sorry for the inconvenience, this was an expected feature of patch 6.4.
Have fun with your design and I welcome you to post and discuss your designs in this thread. Winners and runners up will be announced and have their works displayed once the contest ends and judging is completed.
