It shows that I go through a server in Warsaw, Poland to then come back and get to the servers in San Francisco - LESS THAN 50 MILES from me.

That puts me through east coast network servers that seem to be the issue with lag and packet loss.

So if I am signing into NA-West server, why does it have to go through Poland?

Saffr0n:   You may be seeing this as a report error when you look up the IP using IP lookup. What those sites are reporting is the location of the ISP and not necessarily the hop location. I also live outside of San Francisco and confirm that routing goes along the South Bay (Santa Clara/San Jose) to the West server. Keep in mind that I'm giving this information without looking at your PingPlotter report. If you're concerned about how your connection is being routed, I can look into it some more, but will need that report.
