You have a Panther, can you honestly say that your T-34-85/T-43/T-44 with the D10T is even remotely as good a sniping weapon as the 88mm L/71? They aren't even in the same ballpark. You have admitted this. Now then take both Panther II and T-54, and you can immediately see they're both superior sniping platforms even if they have a lower DPM. A single missed shot on the Pershing negates her advantage over the course of a minute, not to mention the competitors can get to new locations faster.
