Well WoT just delivered another death blow to its self

NyxWGA: We actively pruned old threads in the past, but the forum feature
that does that stopped working after an update awhile ago. We did
not do it manually in the time that the feature was not working. It
has begun working again, so we have once again begun using it.
The content is not deleted, it is instead archived in a
hidden section. Many of you know that we close threads once they
get up to thousands of responses, and start a continuation thread.
We do this because when you get too many posts grouped in one topic
or one section, the forum begins to throw out errors when trying to
index and display them all. It works the same way with forum
sections when you get thousands and thousands of posts there. When
they are archived and hidden, they no longer need to be displayed
and stop causing issues. As others have pointed out, most
threads that are not posted in for 3 months are no longer useful.
Even many helpful posts become outdated over time as the game
itself changes. Cleaning out these posts not only makes the forum
itself run better, but it also prunes out older posts that are
potentially no longer relevant. However, there are posts
that are still helpful and relevant over time, and we are happy to
help preserve these. If you have posts that you feel strongly are
both relevant and completely up to date, you can contact an admin
and ask for your post to be moved back into the visible section.
