I just wanted to share this relevant statement from our Support Team.
"Hey Tankers,
The Windows hosts file maps hostnames to IP addresses and we do not recommend hard binding DNS names to IP addresses.
In the event anything should change on our end, this information will be invalid.
For this reason, one of the first things we ask for you to do is to flush your system's DNS cache and restart your networking hardware.
One of our login servers was taken down for maintenance and only 2 of the IP's in the suggested fix are active.
We highly advise that you browse to your hosts file located at c:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc and open it with notepad.
If there is any line pertaining to specific IP addresses for World of Tanks, please delete these lines then save and close your hosts file.
If you do intend to modify your hosts file we advise getting the proper information first by opening a command prompt and typing in the following command:
nslookup login-master.worldoftanks.com
You will then be presented with the correct IP addresses to use. (We do change these, so there is a good chance you will receive connection issues later when your machine is looking for servers that don't exist)
NOTE: We do not advise changing this file as it is possible to cause issues within your operating system.
If this does not resolve your issue connecting to our servers, please submit a ticket to technical support so that one of our support representatives may be to assist you further.
