Not only packages are over priced, but also they are repetitive and filled with useless content (previously consumables, now credits) in order to bump price even higher.
There is nothing in packages that can not be bought at better price with gold. I can as well pack money into Paypal and give my friend secondary access to it. (Paypal allows such cool tricks)
I remember waiting for new content of gift shop with a lot of interest. Now all I do every week is confirming that nothing have changed since entering current state.
As I said: I am conducing protest on current WG policy by buying beer instead of gold.

Adding themed bundles (remember the US Mega Bundle? Expect more like that), working to tie the gift shop into on going in game events, such as the On Track and Weekend Events. We have packages coming up that have equipment included (as has been requested)
Adding new descriptions to packages so that people can see why that might be a good deal for them, or beneficial to what they are working on in the game.
I know I can't please all of the people.
Every week the same group of people are going to come in and compare the current gift shop bundles and use the $99.99 price of gold (yes I do know that package is 250 gold per dollar
), and a year long
value of premium converted to gold per day, and then
tear apart the current batch of gift shop packages.
However if they were willing to take a step back and compare them to price of gold for that quantity, and premium time at the rate that is in that package you will see that there always about a 10% bonus (these days in credits), added to all of the packages.
Please remember that not everyone buys Premium Time a year at a time, or $99.99 worth of gold at a time. If you are that is awesome and these packages might not be what you are looking for (the year of premium and $99.99 gold package is available all of the time). If you are not someone who is making large purchases these might just be what you are looking for.
As always constructive criticism is welcome.
