Let me compare this to two other events I run.
The amount of time it takes to process the caption contest each week the way it was run, was the amount of time it takes for me to organize the entire sheriff event, or the amount of time it takes to organize and run two weeks worth of tank companies.
It's not a matter of it being my job, it's a matter of figuring out how to maximize the impact of my time, and spending up to 8 hours reading all of the captions each week (while thrilling), was not the maximum impact. But if you have a suggestion on how you think it might be better run, I am always open to suggestions.
