free-to-play, is it? Successful free to play games are those where
spending money gives you a slight advantage (usually time saved,
i.e. bonus xp & gold, can buy higher tier tanks directly, etc.).
Pay-to-Win games (which are almost always unsuccessful) are ones in
which spending money is a requirement. The tank that has the most
issues (for me) with the tier gap is a Medium. So instead of being
a crappy Medium, you're suggesting instead that I play it as a
super crappy Light? Mediums don't make very good scout If I can hit
my opponent 10 times (with a single-shot cannon), before he hits me
once, I should win. If I don't, then there's something seriously
wrong with the game mechanics. Historical video games like this one
need to properly balance realism with playability. Personally, I
think the way they implemented the penetration mechanic ruins this
game, and is precisely why I much prefer WoWP. A higher tier
fighter will have more health and deal more dmg, but if I hit him
twice as often, he'll go down in flames first. s. As a side
note, many of you seemed to take offense to my "know-it-all"
comment. The only know-it-all reply was the one I just quoted: lots
of insults, with nothing constructive to add. Contrast that with
the majority of other replies, which were helpful based on
experience. Ironic then that the person with the "Community
Contributor" rank is the person who contributed the least to this
thread.Lert: 1) Yes it is, because 'gold' ammo can be bought for credits,
and credits are free to come by. 2) Which medium? There are many
mediums in the game. They all have their advantages and
disadvantages, and if you don't tell us which medium you mean, we
can't give direct tips, now can we. 3) There is so much wrong with
that that I can't even begin to go over it. So many wrongful
expectations. I gave you attitude, yes. Because your first
post is nothing but a whine, with sass and attitude. You didn't
come here for tips and help, you came here to vent and whine. We
don't need whiners here. As for me being a community
contributor and not having contributed to the thread - well duh -
I'm a community contributor, not a thread contributor. What
did I contribute to the community? Click the link in my sig, as I
have suggested to you earlier on. Just do it. I'll wait. See
that? Guides. Dozens and dozens of guides.
Written specifically for new players. Like you. READ THEM.
At least the first few, you know, the basic ones. They are
written from the view point of someone with 4+ years of experience
in this game, who has learned how to make tier 3's matter in a tier
5 game. Tell you what - if you are so convinced that you can
just broadly wipe away anything I say and continue on with your
attitude, then I'm going to give you a challenge. Name me a
tank. Any tank, that you have. I'll buy it. And we'll both run 50
games in it. 75% crew, no premium ammunition, no equipment, only
the small consumables. After that we'll compare performance. And
the loser gets to listen to the winner and stop giving sass and
attitude. Sound good?
