KRZYBoop's Korner. Skill based MM debate.

Дата: 31.08.2020 21:11:13
KRZYBooP: Howdy Boom Jockeys!  There is a common debate or understanding as to why WG doesn't implement SBMM into the game.  For those that don't know, SBMM is where you only put players with matching skill (plus or minus) up against each other for every battle. There are pros to this but many cons as well that some may not be aware of. Pros:     Players have better more engaging battles, that challenge them.      New players are only battling new players.     A percentage of players are happy with the changes. Cons:     Longer Queue times for all players.      Lower skill players don't progress.      Smurfing accounts to beat up on lower skill players.      High skill players always fighting each other can get very old very quickly.      No way for WG to help out Queue times with cross-platform play. Console World of Tanks is not the same as PC.      Fights will last longer.      More bots will have to be implemented.      In order to avoid being punished for being a good player, players might throw games, die intentionally, so their rank goes down enough for them to be king again.          In SBMM this player will take down the rank for everyone on their team.     Implementing changes like this could punish WG in the future.  I am not too familiar with the pros so if there are more feel free to add them. Keep in mind though that there is a Ranked Mode that comes in seasons for players to enjoy SBMM, so it does already exist in our game.  Some resources I have found on the internet concerning the argument. Fortnite exampleModern WarfareFortnite Chapter2Apex example Let's have a friendly conversation.
