'Official' experience info seems to have some holes

For example, say more than 3 tanks capture the enemy flag. Only up to 3 actually speed the timer. So how is the credit assigned? Does the game pick three of the tanks and only credit them? Or does it spread it out more? Here's the 'official' info that doesn't answer that:

"By capturing the enemy base
This applies only to the tanks in the enemy base circle, not the whole team, and is proportional to the time spent in the enemy base circle capturing it"   Another example - I'm trying to figure out how my IS-4 just had a battle where I only did 682 damage, but got 2 kills, (48 assist) and got a mastery 3; while another battle that did 2245 damage got no mastery. Even accounting for possible win/loss difference, and possible tier differences, something not mentioned in the official info, that doesn't seem to explain the gap.   There is nothing in the official info saying that a tank kill counts for more than just the damage. So bit of a mystery there.   There is something else written in an unclear way. It says you will not receive experience for:

"For receiving "Battle Hero" titles in the "After-Action Report" window This does not include “Invader” and “Defender”"   Now, the activities UNDERLYING "invader" and "Defender" get xp; capping and resetting. But that's not what it says. It says that getting the actual titles adds xp; is that correct, or is it just saying that you don't get xp for the titles, but you do for the activities that get the titles.   Another thing not made clear is how it decides which tank gets 'spotting credit' when more than one tank can spot an enemy. Say three allies are near an enemy, and a fourth teammate shoots them from a long distance. How does it decide which of the three get 'spotting credit'?

KRZYBooP:  HERE is some Sauce for explanations on XP, how to get it, and where it comes from.
