Your answer is totally incorrect. Tank speeds have always been measured flat surfaces, not going up or not going down. Tanks don't become a missiles due to gear box ratios. A related matter once turned in to support was a horsepower to weight ratio issue. Increasing a tank's engine by 30-35% did nothing to the speed/mobility. In racing per example, weight to horsepower is a critical factor with respect to speed. When I confronted WOT support about the issue I was told "It's a game".

KRZYBooP: Real-life scenario considering how speed and engines work,
yes, you are correct. In a non-simulation tank arcade
shooter, limits are placed on a tank for balancing reasons to stop
possible game-breaking events. No speed limiters on tanks in a game
where you can ram opponents to damage or kill them can get out of
hand. Thus the Kamakazi reason shared with you earlier. The tanks
don't have programmed parameters for a gearbox. It's just a
variable for what happens when you press the "W" key.
This is why you received the response from support saying it's a video game. Video games imitate real-life for immersion but also breaks rules.
