nerf gold shells, but the big question is if gold shells will be
sold for reasonable prices when they become 'balanced'. If they
have both an alpha disadvantage and the prohibitive price then you
may as well just remove gold shells altogether. As much as I'd like
the game to function properly without gold shells, I know that's
just not meant to be unless there's some major armor nerfs as well.
As of the HE rework, I used to like the idea but now I'm
very skeptical that it'll actually fix any of our problems. The one
useful thing HE does is counter thin armor when it penetrates, and
now that's completely out the window. KRZYBooP: Shells are not purchased with only gold anymore they are
purchased with credits only. The thought behind the World of
Tanks economy is play tier ten have some fun, then filter back down
to 7-9 to supplement your credits to go back into a tier 10 battle
or be a pro and make them credits to keep playing tier ten only.
(YAY Arty!) This is also why many tanks are tier 8, to assist with
earning credits and training crews for tier ten. HE is
still useable against thin armor. Just more concentrated at one
point.
