just dont find the game fun. so heres what i have learned.
first thing, people stay at low tiers... why? you dont learn
anything, you get constantly killed from vet players using special
ammo, there is nothing to learn from as far as i can tell.
secondly, if you dont have a premium account its going to be
a huge struggle. i luckly got my tier 8 due to the christmas event.
if i had to grind all the way to it, idk if i would have continued.
third people (just like in any competive arcade game) always
will talk [edited], i dont think people can help it, but with wot
it seems to be a lot more elitism than most other games i play,
from apex, escape from tarkov, league, pubg, ect ect. not
sure why. fourth people actually helping is very far and few
between. i think most vets just gave up o helping new players, and
see them as just more hp to get their wn8 up. ill keep
playing, but the experience from the game and community itself has
influenced me not to put a dime into the game.which sort of suck on
one hand because there are some cool tanks id like to get, but if i
buy them and still dont have fun (i mean because thats what games
are for fun...right?) then why do it. anyways thats what ive
learned so far in my short time here
KRZYBooP: I understand your feelings toward the game as I have run into
the same challenges as yourself. This game was developed with
Russia Gamers in mind. Their Gamers don't mind a grind to get a
Tier 8 Tech tree tank. Fast forward to the NA market and it's not
the same story. Gamers here want to experience a game at all levels
of Tiers. This is apparent with the competitors that you listed.
Their characters aren't locked behind a tiered system like ours.
You can spend money and unlock them forever without effecting the
economy. Premium tanks that are sold offer a bonus to
crew xp and credits earned. These are used in conjunction with tech
tree tanks to level up crew and research your way through the tree
until you get to the tank you want. One of the biggest problems is
trying to find the tank for you. Competitors have characters that
look like specific archetypes of play styles you are familiar with
and want to go into. World of Tanks requires you to do a little
research if you aren't familiar with all the T-34 models for
example or Shermans. There is a big learning curve to
the game as I am sure you noticed and many clans have a sister clan
dedicated to teaching. One is actually named [TEACH] (sp?), and
there is also our discord you can join (check my signature for the
link).
