Grind up BIA crews before Crew 2.0 goes into effect?

I studied and tested the new crew system at both iterations.   As of the second iteration I found the transition mechanic straight forward and fair for my tanks and crew.  Further, I didn't anticipate spending a cent on account of the new crew system.  The ability to merge crews into a unit for 2 or 3 tanks, if not offered as part the transition would cost me a few gold, but in return some 5 skill crews could be converted to crew books.  The amount of gold that would take for my garage is well within my annual $100 worth of Christmas boxes.  That's it, I pay less than $0.25 per hour to play this game.   Suppose they offered an unbounded boost of 1% for every 100,000,000xp.  It would be a silly argument suggest people would spend real money to do so in any significant number.   I didn't have enough actual gameplay to fully appreciate the extremes, so some balance issues would need to be resolved.  I don't see that necessarily hard.

Jaguarz:  Again, you dont seem to see the nuances. People claim the game is pay to win already when it literally isnt, crew 2.0 is p2w, doesnt matter where you move the goalposts increasing cost to benefit if its there its game poison. If its balanced and doesnt have any pay to win features in it then is the cost investment in the feature worth Implementing? The answer is likely no, its a clunky RNG addition to a game where a great many people whine about RNG already, it creates work where none was needed as people need to prep crews for specific tank features, armour? DPM? Accuracy? Speed? Then its 3 tanks per crew, lets look at russian heavies, there are 25ish premium/reward tanks in the category alone and where people could have one crew before for all russian heavies now they will need 9 different crews to cover. Even if crew 2.0 was nothing but sunshine and lollipops and was good for everyone (and it sure isnt that, this is not the second time its been rejected, it got tossed out of WoWS because they couldnt get it past the playerbase) it would be change for changes sake and would do nothing to gain players or even retain players, its only possible outcome would be to piss some players off and lose them. Star Wars Galaxies New Game Experience for example was a technical improvement across the board, its also a prime example of how you can create failure where none was needed because it literally killed the game, in the biggest IP in the world, at a time when there was barely any alternatives. So, wheres the benefit in crew 2.0? There is none to be had. *edit* Just to note I dont care if they implement it or not, I will find something else to do with my time and still glean entertainment from watching it all unfurl
