Jaguarz:  You are doing exactly what you accuse others of, you say because Battau isnt good in arty his opinion isnt valid but the simple fact is hes an above average player and as a result someone with a greater understanding of the game. You are better than average in arty and Im better than you in it, Im a capable WOT player in all the classes though obviously I have preferences. Because Im capable I am able to see exactly how much effort and skill I need to put in to perform in Arty as I do in the other classes and its much, much less. The only "arty safe" parts of most maps are places which mean you are of no benefit to your team, "knowing" and being in these places makes you a bad player. Almost every critical part of a map can be hit by arty because they are not static and can move, and the ones that cant do that effectively have crazy arcs. On the occasions I am playing with someone, or even watching a stream when they are hit by an arty I always say "the best way to avoid arty is to not be where they are shooting", its a meme because theres no real place you can go to prevent being smacked by arty unless you are "actively" helping your team lose by being in a worthless location. I play arty for missions, to help others do missions or if Im in a foul mood and want to make others miserable and believe me I make them absolutely miserable. I use only stun rounds because its without a doubt the most effective round you can use, you make them burn their consumables and hamper their effectiveness, there is no greater force multiplier at your disposal, going for "more damage HE" is a poor choice and AP is absolute madness except in rare occasions where you need a hail Mary and hit the jackpot of not only hitting but also hitting the right place, how I laughed when the T92 HMCs AP round was eaten by the tracks in my Bourasque. In most games I pump out between 200-300 seconds of stun duration, I use the small gun with a 20s reload and a 23s potential stun duration, its the literal embodiment of abuse and I assure you I am completely toxic in arty.
