Can't get anywhere with ranked

Jaguarz:  Its different in ranked, pub games people take positions  and push for map control, rightly or wrongly, in ranked everyone almost always camps and waits for someone to either spot for them or the other side gets bored and pushes because they think this will enable them to gain chevrons at the expense of others. The play in ranked is terrible and is certainly not a showcase of skilled players.
