Gnomon: Hey, everyone! As some of you may already know from my
previous postings on here, I’m one of your new World of Tanks
Community Coordinators, Gnomon. I'm just going to answer some basic
stuff here, but feel free to ask any questions and I will try to
keep up! Background? Born along the East Coast and
grew up/went to college there. Ended up in California with
Wargaming in 2015, and now I'm here in Austin. I was a librarian my
entire life until I was hired at Wargaming. So, yay books!
Up until now, I've worked mainly with WoT Console, hence the
low PC battle count. I'm working to bring it up and get better at
the game (and taking tank recommendations). DomoSapien is helping
me find my way around all of the PC maps because he's the best
and a national treasure. Favorite tank(s)? It changes
almost daily. Currently enjoying the Somua. However, I've always
loved the T-34 and the Rudy. Mediums are my jam, and I wish I was
good at Lights too because the 13 57 looks so fun when played by
those who know what they are doing in them (AKA: not me).
Favorite game(s)? Pretty much any of the Souls games,
Bloodborne specifically. Transistor comes in close second due to
its soundtrack. And, I can’t forget about Tanks.
I'm more of an MMO type of person, but I love games where you throw
yourself at a boss and die about 50 times before taking them out.
There is just something really satisfying about finally figuring
out a fight and all of a bosses' moves (I'm looking at you,
Ornstein and Smough). What are you reading right now?
I'm slowly working my way through all of Haruki Murakami's
novels/short stories. Give them a go, if you haven't already! I
always have a Stephen King book that I'm reading too. Right now,
it's Tommyknockers. What are you playing right now?
Only a few things: FFXIV (I'm an AST main) Farcry 5 Vermintide 2
World of Tanks League Overwatch (Ana main, because who doesn't like
a healing grandma) Dark Souls III (again) Let me know if you
have any questions! Bonus! Here’s a picture of my cat
that I adopted once I got to Texas (we named her Seven of Nine):
