qualification tournament

GeneralDirection: Just to let you guys know, I've been following this thread. I've mostly been quiet because I'm on a three-week trip (which is coming to an end soon!) and haven't had a whole lot of time to actually respond to forum threads.
But regarding this discussion: that's what the regular season is for at this time. It's acting as the "qualifier." I'd rather fix the reasons for players losing interest in that, than to add a qualifier for the qualifier. If that makes sense.
