i think there should be more notice of sales or a grace period where credits are returned to match the sale price if you bought very close before the sale.
this is not uncommon in retail businesses and in fact it is one reason i buy more and more from costco. there is never a hassle getting money back on an item that goes on sale or has had it's price reduced after your purchase.
what i am learning is NEVER EVER BUY ANYTHING at regular price from wargames. i understand it is a priveledge to play for free and choose to get the full benefits by paying and that it is a for profit game.
i ran a retail business for 22 years and we ran sales occassionally. if a customer was purchasing or ordering something that was coming on sale we always warned them that if they wanted to wait they could get a better price that way they could never feel they couldn't trust us.
this is not complaint but a rather suggestion
GeneralDirection: To be fair, if we announced the special 5 days in advance then
someone will have purchased a discounted tank the day before the
announcement. If we announced it a week in advanced, someone will
have purchased the tank a day before the announcement. Even if we
announce a special a month in advance, there will be a case where a
tank being discounted was purchased the day before and it will be
disappointing.
We're always striving to improve the communication of specials; for example, we've been announcing the full details of the special with the first announcement made recently, since we understand that seeing an announcement that there will later be an announcement is not fun. But at some point we have to accept the fact that we're not going to be able to cater a given special to every possible circumstance.
We will continue to design specials the way we have for the past few months, but you'll probably see a few more frequent, but smaller sales, with a big awesome special like this or Battle of the Bulge once a month or so. If you're willing to hold out for a tank until it goes on sale, we're not going to blame you for it.
