Announcing the David vs Goliath MVP event

Does this mean that, for example, say I get one battle and destroy 3 vehicles 2 tiers above me in a TD and get Halonen's medal, and include this as my 1st of 3 battles in my entry for the TD category. The next battle, I don't get Halonen's medal, but do some damage and other things worth MVP points, and the same for the third battle.
It sounds like you only need Halonen's medal for ONE of the entries, is this true?
