World of Tanks Named Best MMO Shooter

>MMO because there's no single player
Whaaaaaaa...? I was playing 64 player FPSs in the 1990s. Limited team-focused FPSs are a very, very recent trend. And there are plenty of multiplayer-only games (even including FPSs) that are not MMOs.
Guys, without making a big deal about this, they call it an MMO as an excuse to validate their price scaling. It's not a MMO. At all. You could try to count the way you have to grind to unlock a researched tank, I guess, but that's just part of their price scaling. And it's an RPG element, not a MMO element, although many games use it now. I know you like the game and want to defend it, but it's not a big deal. It's not a MMO; it's just part of their marketing, that's all. It's not criminal, just eye-roll worthy.
GeneralDirection: "MMO" comes from the concept of persistent progression, as well as
the persistent global map. While it's still in beta, it is a
feature that makes World of Tanks more of an MMO than some
shooters.
