Draschel:  Because Chieftain is a tonne more flexible.     it has Krans speed advantage and turret armor protection......but with having these features, it also adds a tonne more usefulness in having whopping 20m more VR and easier access to further skills like situational awareness. Whopping 20mm more side armor and side skirts, allowing chieftain to even see use as a makeshift side scrape tank when not in ideal position. The moment Kran turret even rotates 30 degress off centre its 120mm and vulnerable to even tier 8 225mm AP. Chieftains side of the turret is 175-215mm variable thickness and at that same angle still well over 300 effective. 230 more HP too. The Chieftain has CONTINENTS better gun handling in just about every category, to say 'better' is an understatement. Aim-time/velocity/dispersion control/accuracy which means it does not have focus into taking mandatory 2pieces gun handling equipment like Kran has to. Among the most important ever, Chieftain has APCR pen to threaten tanks like 110E3, 268V4, 279E that can literally stone wall Krans. All Kran is left with, is  burst fire. Yes, lets see where this goes if Ranked Battle reward vehicle restrictions are removed again. Does this make Kran a bad tank? Most certainly not. Its still a heavy with autoloader, DPM, gun depression, turret armor, speed and acceleration. These are too many qualities, and too good qualities in itself to be bad. But in older Ranked Battle, and CW even after buffs Kran can really show an ugly side of impotence. 300 pen HEAT the biggest issue.
