Draschel: Uhhhh.....professor, you are the one not reading. As in WG
patch notes and changes. And are the one incorrect. HE can
still damage modules, and the damage number to modules
delivered didn't change with the HE changes. They stayed the
same. Which are tied to shell bore size, not shell type. When HE
strikes a target and apparently a module like tracks, gun barrel,
spaced armor panel - while it may not penetrate these outer decals
and reach the hull or turret to deal physical damage, it may still
penetrate the ACTUAL DECAL and deal damage to that module, but not
the hull. HE shell can hit a tanks roller wheel, penetrate the
roller wheel, but not penetrate the track belt or spaced armor
BEHIND the suspension, and get caught up in ''screen not
penetrated'' Like E100, or 112 and 113, for example. HE
shell again, can strike a gun barrel, penetrate the guns listed
armor but then hit the turret gun mantlet, and get caught up in
layers of spaced armor, again ''screen not penetrated'' But in
these examples, the HE shell can still very EASILY penetrate the
roller wheel, or gun barrel, and deal the module damage. Thats why
you see non penetrating, non damaging HE shells still breaking
tracks and immobilizing, or disabling a gun. What are you
talking about. HE reductions to module damage were very
necessary in the form of unfair 'blasting/searching outer
explosions' of non penetrations..... dealing ridiculous damage to
modules but not the vehicle. Like HE from Maus 128mm hitting jag
panzer E100 in the face and dealing 35 damage to the
superstructure, but setting the tank on fire through engine damage
below the superstructure. This ridiculous nonsense has been
removed. Rightfully so. If you want to track
something, shoot the roller wheels with AP prof. 200IQ.
