Draschel:  You are wrong. Artillery is a loose definition, of a weapon crewed to increase firepower of men compared to rather, what an individual may carry himself. Even the smallest of things, like an Italian light mountain mortar of Japanese knee mortar, not even 50mm bore size, crewed by however men and operated, constitute artillery.  An Anit tank gun, is artillery. And USA anti tank armaments, like 3in M7 most commonly noted in service WWII, fired more HE ammunition than anti armor rounds. Both from towed, and M10 Wolverine or Gun Motor Carriage halftrack. Your nonsense literature, doesn't state the methods and intent, of how munitions were used or how strikes were attained. But what post-studies do show, are typical hits attained are FROM DIRECT LINE OF SIGHT AND SUSTAINED DAMAGE. SHOWN PUNCTURES, PENETRATIONS, SHEARING ARE FROM DIRECT TRAJECTORY, not a plunging arty 45-70'  fire. Meaning your artillery, yes artillery means alot, were direct firing into seen targets, with HE FRAG. Are you incompetent? You have no idea what you are talking about, and you can't discern information worth a dime.
