WN8 ARTY

Draschel:  You cannot. Impossible. The only way to achieve great WN8 is not to include artillery. Or hide artillery in very isolated single games, among sessions with actual tanks. But your WN8 in the artillery itself will still be unpleasant This is the big problem with artillery. Put someone who sucks in tanks, in an artillery and they can actually modestly perform above their level.  Put a great player that averages 4K  damage in 9s and 10s and they will struggle to do even 2.5K in conqueror GC, the best damage dealing arta. The people that 3 mark tier 9 and 10 arty? They do so requiring thousand of battles, and their damage numbers are low, even lower than light tanks.  There are a whole list of reasons for this, but short explanation is broken. Low skill floor. But also, capped with low skill ceiling.  Think of it like a 2-stroke ATV. Excellent power to weight, great acceleration and grip. The thing shoots out to 50 km/hr like a gunshot. But then your speedometer red-lines. Try your hardest, to even get over 100. And your transmission is as loud as a jet. Artillery is easy to use. Requires little training. But if you are a great player, the vast collection of skills you possess don't transfer to playing artillery all that well, at all. It is just hard to do very well in artillery, but is quite easy to be above average. Low skill floor. Low skill ceiling, and you bump your head if you try to raise it Reasons?  Bad DPM. Bad alpha (pens, even hits are uncommon)  bad accuracy, bad gun handling, extreme reliability issues. Extreme randomness.  extreme map dependence. Extreme team dependence. Need long games for an impact, whereas tanks can be impactful in short games. Very hard to control assistance damage, whereas in tanks assistance is much easier.
