Who asked for High Explosive shell Rework? Compensation

Draschel: VK3601 7.5/5.5 Gold rounds, many years ago, received very very very very few complaints. There weren't many reasons to spend 8 gold per shot at tier 6, other than tier 6 medium companies. And those were quite poor compared to tier 6 skirmishes. Yet, it didn't take WG WoT long at all, to nerf the junk not only of the L58 7.5/5.5,  but of  VK3601 itself, and still to this day its kept under wraps. Why is this? It is because in the wrong hands, the very very very very few skilled, yet wrong hands, the vehicle upset tier 6 (and wherever its battles landed)  balance. WG WoT doesn't just buff and nerf, based on what people ask for. They buff and nerf on their notion of balance. What people mistake, is Type 5 was nerfed because it was ridiculous in a 48% players hands, or that it was taking over CW in a dump and s--- way. Or that 60 TP and HE100, Fochs HE 155 were s------- all over ranked. They weren't nerfed, at least solely for these reasons, but rather the very important reason being they upset game core mechanics. Your opinions on KV2, I stopped reading when you said ToG has excellent traverse stats. These are the opinions I ignore, and don't pay attention to. Such discussion, won't lead to any improvement at all. And I am all about improvement, but in doing so I need to still look at where I can find it, and not where I won't.  HE is broken. Was and still is, the severity has just been reduced. It isn't overpowered, it is broken. It is something, that can jump right into a situation, where even Jag Panzer 420 HEAT won't work, yet it works. Even if there was T-14 Armata in this game, with 1,020 APDS penetration, those wouldn't work, but HE did then. And this was severely reduced, to the point where it doesn't upset game balance too much anymore. And frankly, this is just one spectrum of complaints. HE has always been problematic in this camp of complainants. Unreasonable, unreliable, inconsistency, no aiming, the list goes on. It is unfair to punish great players attitudes, qualms, queries, suggestions - simply because they are smaller in number because frankly, the multitudes of unskilled players vastly outnumber good ones. And while yes, I understand, not to fall into bigotry - the opinions of great players shouldn't mean something simply because they are great - that is not what I am getting at. What I am getting at, is great players tend to understand balance and mechanics far better, giving them a better grasp. With a better grasp, they know far more of balance. And with knowledge of balance, they know what helps (and doesn't help) game balance at far better a level.  War gaming, was unwilling to wreck FV4005 gun, because they were worried about FV183.It didn't stop them from Type 5 though, they got rid of that.T82? Cruiser ll? Removed, easy for them. Hetzer, T40, same thing.KV2? Wouldn't risk it, because of KV2( R ). They did come down hard on OI though.Lynx, EBR90, EBR105? No problem, they got touched. EBR75? Easier said than done, all they could do is interfere with core mechanics (wheel effect) not the actual vehicle in any wayThis HE solution, has culminated in their latest, clever HE 2.0. And what was so wonderful, was that they nerfed tanks without nerfing tanks. Only M44 was nerfed. No actual tank here, actually got nerfed besides M44. In fact many were buffed, not nerfed. It is HE, the core concept, which WG has done before many times to core concepts, that got altered. No actual tank did. Which is why WG nerfs arty all the time. No return fire. No turbulence. All they got to do, is avoid nerfing Sexton and LefH18 and viola, no problem. Which is why arty changes stick to stuff generally above 130mm. Steer clear of nerfing premiums. WoT is clever, trust me. My lowest tier X, is over 2.9K damage. A considerably bad X itself, but still nearly 500 over your best. Not to sound elitist, as that isn't the point, I am merely stating that no, nothing you have to offer helps me. Does that make me a piece of crud? Perhaps. Does that mean I am a minority, who cares. Does that mean I understand the game and exploit it in harnessing consistent great result, sure does. Should people, like these minority, make Tanks development decisions? I have never said that. But do they understand the game and balance better than the vast majority of those crying about HE? Certainly.
