Why did they "buff" the Tiger's gun?

I do have both in my garage, but I have tonnes of tanks no longer played. But again, long time ago. I think I played panther maybe 1 battle since it received the L100 75 (and that was forever ago) which was a mistake. I wanted to take out Panther M10 and instead readied it, THINKING it was the panther M10 as they are both panthers, and both right beside one another in carousel. That battle I got the (M) badge,  lol..... as Mastery badges didn't even exist the time I played through it. As you can see with my VK3601. If I were to redo them, I am thinking VK3601, which is hefty better, because of konisch and mega HP. 1300 + 2-300 combined?Panther is bleh, just because you can penetrate tier 9s like none other doesn't really equate to much, 135 alpha. Say 1600 + 4-500 combined?
