DomoSapien: er, well this is just my personal opinion but all of my
professional training about Community Management has generally
implied that apologies are counter-intuitive because no matter how
sorry we are, what matters is the results and what we're doing to
resolve the issue.
I don't think anyone on our team is happy that any of this occurred or intentionally trying to misguide y'all or misrepresent the facts. Instead of telling you I'm sorry, I'm thanking you for putting up with my shenanigans. In this case, the shenanigans being the initial miscommunication and the considerable delay in getting y'all compensated for the mixup.
I could certainly tell you we're sorry - because we are, but that wouldn't really be worth much in lieu of the actual compensation you were promised and deserve. So getting that out as quickly as possible is our utmost priority.
Again, thank you for your patience. We genuinely do appreciate it, as well as your support in the first place. And your passionate feedback in keeping us accountable... We're thankful for quite a bit this holiday season.
