You count in with buddies, when you see a buddy on the enemy team you hit him once and he goes to self-destruct his vehicle. Not that I can think of a rational reason why someone would want to do that but if you're trying to get missions done for personal campaign reward tanks, that'd be a pretty easy way to cheese the damage missions.
