Ignoring NA continues

That being said, I am not sure I quite understand how WG employees
taking a vacation and timely announcement of events are mutually
exclusive options. With the proper planning the news posts could
have been prepared prior to the Holidays and posted promptly on the
2nd. Unfortunately, it seems that WGNA simply does not
feel doing monthly and weekend previews before the events start is
important, these things have become an afterthought. To us as
players it feels like the general attitude is "if these news get
posted on time great, if not, no big deal". This
is not directed personally to you - it takes some guts to respond
here and potentially take all the flak, and I have respect for
that. However, there is a very clear and concerning trend of the NA
server being in a wind down mode and it extends to more than the
last couple of months. We just play the game, it is up to you guys
to decide how you want to run the NA server, including
communication with your player base, depending on what your long
term plans really are. DomoSapien: All valid points, I really don't like throwing my colleagues
under the bus, and I don't have control over the news portal or
events, so I try to focus on the positives and clearing up any
misinformation (you know, when I'm not the one spreading the
misinformation like I did a bit earlier today!) I can. I certainly
didn't do the best job of articulating myself about it either, so
needless to say I appreciate all you fine folks in the community
keeping me on my toes!
That said I don't think "wind-down" mode is really an accurate description. Wargaming helped me relocate to Austin, and I know for a fact that moving to another state isn't cheap. "wind-down" implies we are moving towards closure, which is not in our plans for the future. In fact, we're moving to a bigger office some time this year so that we have space for additional staff.
EDIT: This just in! KrzyBoop managed to bribe the website overlords with an offering of 100 battles in the Churchill Gun Carriage, and has blessed us with this month's overview!
