Why is off-road driving usually preferred over clutch braking?

So yes it is worthwhile, but only after other more important skills or if your tank has _really_ bad soft stats. In my heavies I usually leave snapshot and smooth ride until about the 3rd or 4th skill and train both at the same time only once I have BIA + repairs on my driver & gunner.   edit: had it backwards.

Would drop it completely if improved vstab and improved vents wasn't so insanely expensive.

Where as clutch braking only increases your traverse speeds.     Smooth ride reduces the overall bloom but DOES NOT reduce the aim time. Just as Vert Stabs reduce your bloom but does not reduce your aim time. As of right now the only skill that reduces aim time is BIA for obvious reasons.

DomoSapien:   Well, my logic was 'overall bloom being larger means a longer time for the reticle to fully close because it has more distance to shrink.' But I appreciate everyone's input, now I know to prioritize my driver skills differently! +1's for all of you <3
