"I picked the right team but didn't get anything" doesn't really give the CSR much to work with. To be clear, they are supporting ALL our products, not just world of tanks. CSR's try their best to be up-to-date on all the current goings-on, but being pretty vague in your question and then getting upset because they didn't know specifically what you're referring to isn't going to get your question answered.
My recommendation for a response would have been: "I'm not talking about a battle, I'm talking about the bonus code event where you pick the winning team for the World Cup matches." As for the codes, they will be credited to your account at a later time, because it takes some time after the matches conclude to get the codes activated and credited.
