DeviouslyCursed:  Well, the dmg you listed was less, and so was the win rate. I'll give you an example for me: when I am trying to get a mission done that says "be top on your team by dmg or xp," if I am actively trying for that it's pretty much a guarantee I'm not getting it that match. I've found it's just best to forget that mission is active and just play for something else. Getting frustrated also tends to lead to a downward spiral, as you are more determined to "make and impact" on the next match, get to aggressive, and get deleted fast, thereby giving the enemy team a head start on the 'snowball effect' thing. At least for me that's when I've noticed. The screw up can be as small as trying a bit too hard to get that shot in, you go too far over the hill and expose your hull, and get wrecked.
