Should I Skip Work to Grind a Discount for Day 1 Purchase?

DeviouslyCursed:  Yeah, I learned this when I realized that people who stay with the same company and get promoted a few times, tend to make less money than people new hired into that same position that the dedicated employee rose up to. When I worked retail, the raises you got tended to not keep up with the hiring wage increases, again making it a situation where the longer term employees made less or as maybe equal to new hires.
