your first 5k games? How many players did you encounter with 50k+
games? How many are there now? what was the most games played you
saw back then? The highest WN8? Back then, how many ranked
and clan reward premium tanks were in the game? How many would you
see in a given random queue fight on average? Did you
pay-to-win or were you free to play? I'm willing to
bet the rules are actually very different for you at 5k games than
it was for me at 5k games. There are more experienced players now,
there are less new players, the top tier of player is even more
experienced than what you faced. The meta has evolved significantly
and is arguably harder on new players. Power creep is real,
especially for reward and premium tanks. It's easy to
say that everyone being treated the same is fair when you're at the
top of the food chain. It's an argument of privilege. Not
everyone learns to get better the same way. Not every player can
learn by getting kicked in the teeth five thousand times. Sometimes
people need an opportunity to make small victories to make
progress. Also, and I assume you know this but I'll
say it out loud for you, this isn't a job. Some of us are really
just playing this for fun and would like to be matched against
people at around our own skill level to play a few games each day.
Also some people have a lower ceiling of skill and should get an
opportunity to enjoy themselves.
DeviouslyCursed: I was free to play, and the top players back then are
arguably better than the top players now (the ultra competitive
tend to move on after a year or two if the esports isn't there).
Not to mention, it was the good players in the best clans that had
the free gold and were able to spam gold rounds more often, making
them even more dangerous to fight. Thousands of battles played
doesn't mean anything. I was over 50% win rate form the day I
started playing. There's people with 40K battles that still can't
top 50% recent.
