ChrisK: Grunt!!!
Well, I also have a few other Military Occupational Specialties now, but 11B (infantry) was my first and still my favorite.
When I went through Jump School at Benning (a while before The Chieftain, when we still actually stood in the door waiting to jump with our hands out on the skin of the aircraft, none of this 45 degree angle walkout stuff!), I got to be first in the door on my second jump (as correctly mentioned by Chief, the jump with the most quitters!). However, I loved it and went without any hesitation. One time I was lucky enough to jump twice in one day from a UH-60A Blackhawk doing "elevators." I'm also authorized to wear several different sets of foreign jump wings: Greek, Israeli, French, and Slovak. Good times for sure!
Airborne, All the Way!
