"No Compensation for unplayable services"

Дата: 02.06.2011 21:25:39
ChrisK: Oh goodie, more comments! Let's see if I can keep up, LOL!   :rolleyes:
@Washbang - yes
@One, still no - not an ISP, not something we chose, and does not host our service.
@Jackal - Our host is working to find a route around it. They are connected to the Internet. You have hit the nail on the head when you say that neither of us can control the route between us, and that's why we're probably irked even more at this than you are. If you think you're losing a couple of dollars worth of Premium days, imagine how much more we're losing in revenue? We actually want this game to be fun - not a laggy soupfest. Also, we know about the support issues. We're establishing a separate North American support group, but that's still in progress. I believe that will help us immensely.
@myusualnamesarentallowed Hey, did you go to the first Star Wars weekend? George Lucas was there! It was sweet. Yeah, I live here too. Once we get as big as Disney, maybe they'll make the Internet wider for our traffic! :Smile-hiding:
@Gyarados - Unfortunately I will not be there on the 10th, but I will be at E3 so if you're in the area stop by. We'll have something cool outside for you to see. :Smile_harp:
@Chewie - No, the electric company is paid by Disney to provide electricity, so Disney can recoup from them directly. However, the bad node is not part of any paid service provider, yours or ours. They're in that limbo between us. It's not a direct feed like electricity. If only it were! And I'm not disagreeing with you about the response, but we're not through the issue yet, so let's see how it goes.
@paradat - Thanks for your understanding!
@Quineloe - WoT /= WoW and WN /= Blizzard. They've had about 8 years to build up an enormous infrastructure and they had huge launch issues. We're still less than two months out of launch, and we're addressing as many issues as we can in each patch. And we don't charge a monthly fee for service - we only ask you to pay if you like the game, and only pay for what you want. Let's see Blizzard match that!
@Irtax - Exactly right!
@Washbang (again) - Basiclaly, that is what's happening, because we don't have any control over it. And that's what we're trying to get changed.
@Chewie (again) - See above on NA support staff. We don't have US offices yet, but as soon as we do we'll have some more staff in here. Soon, I hope! As you can see, I'm staying busy!  :Smile-playing:
@Irtax (again) - Yes, Disneyland came first - but DW so beats it!
@Jackal40 - Precisely, except that CaroNet doesn't have a contract with Level3, so it's like we're trying to leverage a lever to a lever... or something. Hence the delay in the process, and the lack of information.
@Washbang (yet again) - That would mean finding a new hosting company and moving the data with possible corruption, lots of server downtime, and no guarantee it would be any better.
OK, whew - enough from me for now. I gotta eat too ya know!  ;)
