ChrisK: The Merkava is my favorite too, even though I have over 22 years in
the US Army (but I also earned Israeli airborne wings in the Negev
Desert in 1995 and was very impressed by their capabilities!). I'd
take the Merk over an Abrams anytime, but the Leopard 2A6 is pretty
much its match. Although they both do different things better, each
is better than the Abrams. I'd equate the Challenger to the Abrams,
with the armor edge to Challenger but the FCS edge to Abrams. As
for the rest of the world, they're far behind.
