Win a Trip to the Gold League Finals!

Captain_Judo: Tier & Point Limits Teams may deploy no more than 3 members in each match. A team must field a selection of tanks based on the below tier limits.   Heavy: 6 Medium: 6 TD: 6 Light: 6 SPG: 6 18 points maximum   The encounter battle mode will be used for this tournament.   Victory Conditions Group Stage Battles begin every 15 minutes. 3 points are granted for a win, 1 point for a tie, 0 points for a loss. Each battle will last 10 minutes max. The number of teams advancing to subsequent group stages is published on the tournament page after close of registration.   Draws at the end of each Group Stage are broken using the following criteria (and in the following order): Head to Head Head to Head Against Group Leader Opponent Strength - final rank of opponents that have defeated your team Complete Draw - all teams move advance   Playoffs Teams are seeded into the playoffs according to the win ratio in Group Stage 3, Group Stage 2 and Group Stage 1, in that order of priority. Each battle will last 10 minutes max. The winner of each round will be determined as the first to 2 victories out of 5 maximum battles. If neither team wins twice, the playoff round is considered a draw. If teams draw after 5 maximum battles, a *one game playoff determines the winner out of 3 additional battles. *One game playoff does not apply to championship. Unlimited battles, instead of one game playoff, determines champion if necessary.   Schedule The full schedule is subject to change once the final team count has been determined at the close of registration. Rounds will begin at 6 pm PDT (9 pm EDT).   Tournament Stage Date & Time Group Stage 1 Thursday, August 7th @ 18:00 PDT/ 21:00 EDT Group Stage 2 Friday, August 8th @ 18:00 PDT/ 21:00 EDT Group Stage 3 Saturday, August 9th @ 13:30 PDT/ 16:30 EDT Tie-breaker (if needed) Saturday, August 9th @ 18:00 PDT/ 21:00 EDT Quarterfinal Sunday, August 10th @ 16:00 PDT/ 19:00 EDT Semifinal Sunday, August 10th @ 18:00 PDT/ 21:00 EDT Final Sunday, August 10th @ 20:00 PDT/ 23:00 EDT   Prizes The following gold prizes will be provided to each member of the respective team, including reserves.   1st place: 20,000 gold 2nd place: 16,000 gold 3rd place: 15,000 gold 4th place: 10,000 gold 5th - 8th place: 7,500 gold   Registration Registration begins on August 1, 2014 and ends on August 7, 2014 at 9AM PST (12PM EST, 19:00 UTC).   *Because of the special nature of the prize, there are some specific requirements every participant must meet in order to be eligible to take part in this tournament and receive the grand prize trip to PAX Prime and the WGLNA Gold League Finals. Failure to complete each of the requirements will void the prize and prevent the player(s) from receiving the prize and/or compensation.   There is no substitution for designated prizes. All members of registered teams must: Be a resident of the United States of America or Canada. Residents of Canada must have a valid Passport. Be at least 18 years of age. Not a current member of the WGLNA Gold League Agree to sign a waiver and release of liability upon winning the grand prize. A team must have exactly 3 members to be eligible for participation in the tournament. Teams may only include existing clan names/tags in their team name if they are directly affiliated with that clan. Teams must be submitted for approval to participate in the "Win a trip to the gold league finals!" tournament. You can find instructions on applying here.
