Just around the corner: World of Tanks Classic, Season 2!

Captain_Judo: The World of Tanks Classic is a long season. Before we kick-off
Season 2, we want to make sure the season is set up for success! So
we're listing some of our internal talking points which we grabbed
from Season 1's threads. If you were around for our first World of
Tanks Classic, you may even recognize one of your suggestions
below
Large rosters to account for the day (weekend) rounds are playedWe plan to continue with the roster max that was established by the end of the first season. This means that each team will be allowed 20 player rosters. League awards for MVP, top scorer, top defense, etc..This is a great idea and we’ve been keen on introducing something similar in the past. It would require either a metric that can be easily tracked or some kind of poll to elect an “MVP”. Roster mobility / adding and removing players mid-seasonWe like the idea of a short period (break) where rosters can be replenished. Seeding the group stageWe’ll employ our current rating system to seed the group stage. The playoffs will be seeded based on group stage performance. NO Shows + lack of gamesWe have several ideas floating around to maximize participation. Some of these were snatched out of community threads during Season 1:Break the group stage into two parts. An initial group stage composed of smaller groups where half the teams are eliminated while the other half advance into larger groups (of 10) for the familiar Classic 1 season format.
Dock teams for no-shows. This would require active feedback from our community by providing a screenshot of a technical victory. Accumulating so many no-shows will ultimately result in disqualification.
Incentivize participation.
Allow teams to register mid-seasonWe don’t like the idea of allowing completely new teams to enter mid-season. But we favor allowing teams to recruit new players midseason. If helpful, we can institute a public registration board to help teams locate new players interested in participating mid-season. Timely news & announcements updatesThe World of Tanks Classic, Season 1, was our first attempt. We have much of the processes streamlined this time around and believe we can make scheduling and announcements more efficient. Clear progression system to playoffsBuilding on the statement above, we can make the progression to playoffs more clear this time around. Nagatron & Relics vidsI think we can all agree that everyone would want to see these return! Reduce downtime between battlesThis feedback lead to a standard 2 minutes between battles. As with other tournaments, we’ll continue to use this for Season 2. Prizing to include more teamsNoted and up for internal discussion. Of course, any arguments that you can provide, I’m more than happy to share with the powers that ultimately decide prizing!
Please help us by expanding on any of the above thoughts or introducing new points to discuss. Time is running out, so post away
