The KV class tanks get a new lease on life

I definitely like the KV-1S and may even go back to it once I get a KV-3 (Yes, I'm shamelessly gaming the system for free tanks.) I really liked the speed it had, and I didn't even have the upgraded engine or 122mm D-2-5T. I'm starting to definitely think about using the KV-13 to get the T-43 and then the T-44.
Argo, just as a question to a player with ostensibly much more experience than myself, do you think that perhaps using the KV-1S is good practice for the T-44-122? It seems like it would be, since they share several key characteristics: powerful, slow firing guns, great mobility, and decent but not great armour. It's certainly an unusual mix, and one that many players seem to have trouble adapting to given that the KV-1S still seems a rare beast and most T-44's are seen with the 100mm. Most players seem to want the slow guns on tanks with lots of armour and the fast guns on fast tanks. Yet a few people swear by their KV-1S's and I wondered if the playstyle was good training for the T-44-122, which I really want.
Thanks in advance!

ARGO: I will tell you, I am now learning that having skipped over the KV1S before the wipe was a travesty because it is a fun KV variant and it also has a nice choice of weapons including the 85mm which as most Russian TD drivers know is a real nice gun for sniping. KV1S has good speed and a nice fast turret, Hell when it's all maxed side by side it looks all but identicle to the IS tank! I actuall had a few players run away from me only to tell me they though I was in an IS. Anyway, The KV1S is the gateway over and into the more deadly Russian mediums so I would have to say it would not hurt to try it and as far as a comparison to a T-44, Like Clockworked stated in his post above, it's the skills of the driver that can make a tanks seem OP.
I hope this helps you my friend.
