Working smarter not harder

Дата: 23.11.2010 19:36:15
ARGO: How many times have you sat in a burnt out tank cursing, screaming at your monitor, wondering why you were stuck on a fail team? How many times have your whispered to yourself that a chimpanzee could do a better job than the arty on your team? Ever have one of those days?
Now what if I told you a way to improve your success rate, would you listen? The answer is so very very simple and it costs you nothing to have it.
I have seen how just simple communication between players can be a gamechanger but why in some games does it not happen? why? It's because players sometimes forget they are part of a team, they don't have a mindset beyond their platoon mates or clan mates. Some want to gloryhound while others hide and try to scavange kills. Some, are just there to chat. This kind of team is an epic fail waiting to happen everytime.
I have watched players go out there and rack up 6 kills only to watch their team implode at the last minute. And let me tell you it ain't a good feeling. So, I have a few tips that can help you greatly improve your chances even when your on an outmatched team.
Communication is absolute key for victory.
Not just to your pals but to the whole team. Forget about the guy in the Leo who owned your arty in the last match he's on your team now and he's trying to help you win. Forget about the other guy in the clan you hate because again, he's on YOUR team now and let's face you don't loose by yourself in WoT.
Communication, Communication, Communication,
Take the time as that counter is ticking to talk to your arty and each other regarding a game plan, a defense plan and for God's sakes people stick with the plan! I can all but guarantee you that you WILL get more EXP and creds when you whole team wins. When you do get killed, take the time to report your position and what killed you to your team and don't just sit there brewing, Your IS4 may want to know where that Maus is that just one shotted you so he can exact some revenge.
Heavies: Let your scouts get you a clear picture of the battlefield before you roll out. Nothings worse then rolling up one side and the enemies entire team is rolling down the other and right into your base.
Wolfpack mentality:
Mediums: Have your ever seen how wolves fight? That's how you should fight, in a pack...surround and pound. I have seen a hundred battles where there is a super heavy left and your team has 8 scouts/mediums and what do they do? they go out one at a time to fight it and get pawned one at a time while their team mates are waiting to see if he wins. This is a definate fail so in that situation you all get out there and use the surround and pound method, and even if you don't win you will at least earn you enemies respect.
Another thing to remember. I see a lot of is lack of support when a tank is being ganked, Don't just sit there and watch or attempt a pot shot, get in there and bail your friend out after all, you would expect no less if you where him wouldn't you?
Scouts/Mediums: Help your arty..If your arty can't get a fix try and lure your enemy into the open for arty to pick them off. And also remember that we all love those top gun awards but it's not cool getting one at your teams expense so keep in mind that any kill is a good kill even if you didn't get the last shot. Be thankful it's one less tank you will have to fight later.
Remember when your in a bind, any vehicle can be a scout. God knows how many time I have used my IS4 as a sacrifice to punch a nice big whole in the enemy arty who are heavily defended. Remember if your afraid to get your paint scratched, your in the wrong game.
TDs: Ever seen the scenario where all the heavies / Mediums are hung up fighting other heavies hiding behind rocks and playing Peek A Boo? Well TDs make the perfect distraction for this by taking the heavies place thus allowing them to flank and maul them prison style.
I am sure many of you also have some good tips and battle tactics you may want to add so feel free!
