Weird distant landscapes glitch

ARGO: Sounds wierd, I was on the Prohovkia map and the middle of it was
red, The game informed me that I did not have enough memory to run
it on high so it switched me to medium even though I have 4 gigs
onboard and 1 on my Nvidia 9400gt Turbo card. Go figure. I
restarted my PC and set my Win 7 to primarily graphics and then did
the same in my Nvidia driver and that seemed to take care of the
problem.
