How about a custom map feature?

ARGO: Would it be possible to make a feature in the game where players can make/design their own custom maps? I remember a lot of old school games that had this feature where premade sections where placed "like a mosaic" to fit together in some cases to arrange and make different maps. I suppose there are many ways this could be done but My guess is that it would be very popular among players. I am no programmer but I think a custom map feature would not interfere with the game engine.
