Arty is not easy. Many people end the map with 0 kills. Its not a lazer. Its a learned skill. When you get 2 pretty good arty on your team. Its over fast. It takes a great sense of prediction.
My favorite stories are about the scouts who do there job and go into the lions den to find enemy arty and heavy tanks when I ask them to. They dont last long, but its great when I can pick off all the arty or heavies that they discover. Little scouts can win the game.
Like when a guy volunterred to go scout after an enemy SU-14 that I could not find on my own. And it was doing real damadge to our team. He dodged and weaved around all the enemy tanks as fast as he could going deeper into enemy territory. I could not fire though. I needed to stay focused on that SU. I just kept saying GO GO GO GO! Everyone was shooting, he gets hit, he keeps going. Tracked, keeps going... Looking, looking all over. All the while the enemy team shooting everything at him. Boom! He explodes! They finnaly get him, right at the second he found the SU-14! You know I had that shell in the air that same second. Boom! SU gone, I can now go to work without worry and we clean everything up. What a scout, dont remember his name. Thats commitment to the team. He was pretty glad to see his mission accomplished right on the spot. I was glad I did not let him down. Thats what makes this game super fun. Skilled players working together.
ARGO: I beleive I may have been that guy, a similar thing happend to me 2
weeks back when I was scouting in my PZIII, I always ask arty to
let me know when they are set up so I can scout arty for them...I
am a big fan of good arty.
