Secondly, his stats don't look that much better at a glance, but there's a pretty significant difference in your KPG and destruction ratio. He's securing kills and getting hostile guns out of the fight. While not enough to make up the difference in WR, it would certainly help push him up over 50%.
Thirdly, it seems he is likely a more aggressive player than you. He has only a somewhat higher survival rate than you, despite winning a lot more. He actually takes more average damage per battle than you, despite the higher survival rate. If he's trading HP for kills and/or map position better than you are, that may also make a point or 2 difference in WR. Not saying he is, he may actually be over aggressive for solo play and relying on a toon mate to cover him. But it is something to think about, and question your own play to see if you're being too defensive in your decisions, instead of gaining map control.
