Preddy's explanation is total garbage as he is an old man in Brazil
who just doesn't understand anything and posts garbage: 16,184
posts to be exact! I took my Amx 40 out for a spin just
now for you and with a 100% crew on the initial/main skill with
about 68% of Off-Road Driving (1st skill) trained on the driver and
the only equipment I had on it was a vent, I got with the top
engine mounted 23-24 km/hr going forward and 19 km/hr on reverse.
The speed under the mobility section in the garage states 50 km/hr
going forward and 20 km/hr reverse. That was on a flat
surface on Mountain Pass map. Spent the entire game testing
it! Why is this??? It has nothing to do with the
transmission as George Preddy states as there is no such value to
be measured or upgraded! It has to do with the Specific Power
value under the mobility section in the garage. That value is
a measly 8.65 on my tank!!! Hence, that why it will never go
fast as the stated speed! FYI you want that value >=17 to
get the stated speed! Also it used to be a lot slower and
they made it much faster a while ago! Hence mount a Turbo on
it! And also ignore any posts by George Preddy!
P.S. I take it u are going up the French light line to get
the EBRs! Just remember the view range of those tanks will be
~330 m on stock tanks and never gets to the 445m max range even
with equipment and high skills. Most people don't understand
this and will then blame you for not spotting when losing a game.1LT_Dwayne: Thank you very much for your time! So if I understand
correctly the important stats here is the power/weight ratio and it
need to be =>17 to be able to reach the max speed. Where did you
find that 17? I'm going for the AMX 12t and I will stop there
for a while until my crew is good enough to move on.
