Here is an extract from the 8.5 patch notes.
It's not much but it's worth sharing   Fixed rare bug when a shell with low damage value disappears (no module damage after hitting the gun with high HP value)
Fixed the bug with causing full HE damage to an external module when it penetrated with HE shell.
Fixed hit and HE explosion when shooting through the destroyed open-top turret tanks.
Fixed the bug when a shell explosion is displayed in the air.
Destroyed tanks do not absorb the HE damage anymore. HE shells explode on the surface of destroyed tanks now.
Fixed the bug with no damage dealt to the small and light tank it on the big and heavy opponent.
Fixed rare bug with lack of fuel tank damage indication (when it was destroyed) Cheers,
